Phone cards are best when you want to have a live conversation with anybody in India..because through navinmail you cant have a live conversation..But it's surely one of the best ways to save on your phonebills.
Navinmail is now renamed as "Telivoice" & it's a telephonic service through which you can exchange voice messages with anybody.
Though many of us have PCs at our home in India ..there are still many parents who dont have PC to communicate or they are not that comfortable using computer..but like to talk to us here frequently ...I feel telivoice/navinmail is very good service for them.

Maja hotfoon cha experience phar changala aahe. Ekada phone nahi lagala aani tarihi tyani charge kele hote, pan complaint kelyavar eka tasat paise parat kele. Nehami phone lagato. 10 cents per minute aahe aani 1 minute rounding. Kadhi kadhi weekend la voice quality kharab asate pan ase phar rarely hote. Phone 30 secondat lagato pan jar phone lagala nahi tar 30 seconds honya purvi hang up kara nahitar to call consider kela jato, hach phakta ek problem aahe. You should give this a try, much better than calling cards.

after reading your experience I bought 2 "bollywood cities second billing card" this morning. It says that it gives 41 mins to Pune but it gave me only 25 mins. I tried to call customer service but was on hold for 10 mins.

If you are using 9278.com cards for calling to Pune, I suggest you to use either NTSE card OR Super Asia card. NTSE gives you 18 min for $4 and Super Asia gives 26 min for 5$. Both the cards are eqally good with very good voice quality and call success rate. I have a very good experience with both of these cards. The only problem with the 9278 cards(or any card for that matter) is you have to consume the cards in single call only. If you try to call second time using balance minutes , then the rate for second time is way much high (this is confirmed by 9278.com customer care ), so better finish off the card in one shot... rat ga baat ga

Mee dekhil TCC pro Asiach vaparat hote. pan sadhya te ithe milat nahiye. mala TCC pro Asia $5 la 24 mins va $10 la 48 mins dete. It is a good card, good connection, very clear, and when it says that it gives you 24 mins, it gives me 24 mins....

very true, 9278/callnation is very bogus in customer service, and many cards doesn't give the said minutes even for first call. If you call their CS number they say email them on their site and the email response is very very poor with standard messages. One of my friend after getting irritated with their poor response mailed to fcc with cc to them and then these guys gave him lost minutes on his card! I usually take cards from reliablecom.com, but here too in my recent order I experienced that we got 18-20 minutes for first call itself when it said you have 30 minutes of call time. As SVS said its worthless to go for less rate max minutes cards, these sites are cheating like hell.
