Sorry to put this here, but this seems to be more active BB.
Yahoo is shutting down its service and asked to migrate to migrate one of flicr, shutterflly, kodakgallery, snapfish or photbucket.
Do you know which one is better? As the transferring of photos is irreversible, the decision is imp.
Moderator, Can you please start new topic in VC & give its link here, if this discussion goes long?

Dhumketu, I use Picasa and very happy with it. You can download the desktop version and connect it to Picasa Web application. Both the services are offered by Google and are free. Picasaweb gives almost 1Gb storage and you can decide to share or keep private albums.

Picassa is still a good source. I will suggest not to put high res files on any of the free server. There have been quite a few cases of illicit copying.

I shall use picassa in future, but right now yahoo is not allowing to download the photos in bulk. They have CD cutting option as a paid one.
That is why the only option is to transfer the photos to mentioned options and download from there, if that option is available. BTW, the photos can be transferred to only one site 
The photos are not great, so copying is not a problem.

आनंद, Flickr मी वापरतो... त्यात बर्याच सोयी दिसल्या मला... एकच फ़ोटोचे विविध size मधील आवृत्त्या एकाच ठिकाणी दिसतात... आणि माझ्या माहितीप्रमाणे याहूनेच फ़्लिकर घेतले आहे कारण माझा याहू चे अकाउंट त्यावर चालते... बघ तू एकदा तिकडे जाऊन!

गिरीराज, हो yahoo नेच flickr घेतले आहे.. मी कुठेतरी वाचले की त्यावर फ़क्त २५० फ़ोटो ठेवता येतात. मी original file जी upload केली तीच download करता येते का? आणी एकदाच सर्व files download करता येतात का? (एकदा का download झाल्या की मी त्या picassa वर टाकीन..

This is one of the places I want to trek. There is a similar 'hill' or mountainn if you want to call it in Austria where I went last weekend, albeit without camera as it was more of climbing, get-to-know-the-area trip.
