A question, if anybody has tried time-lapse photography with the camera that doesn't have such feature. I could click a picture, say every 10 seconds for about 2 hours and then I will be able to make it but of course, this is a royal pain. Anyone has a better idea? FYI, I am going to try this out with Powershot A710IS. Thanks in advance (I know this is a wrong forum to post request but "looking for" BB is down at the moment)

prasad , I am not sure what end result you are looking for. This technique is used in movies but I have not heard of for still photography. If its for home video or something then set movie camera on tripod for long time and record entire length.Import recording to PC .In movie editing software get Scene splitted into few seconds automatically. discrad farmes inbetween. now again split the remaing scenes into splitseconds and discard unwatend scenes from stock. when you render this into movie it looks like timelapse shoot. I had done this for small dance recording. Could not achive great results as softare i use is for home video editing and doesnot allow splitting down to level of 1/25th of second. another thing can be tried is to take snapshots every 10/15 seconds form video shot and then sequence them without any transition or lag .I have not tried this but should work. This will also give you still shots as you want but quality will not be gerat.

Ajai, You are pretty correct at guessing my idea. The simple effect, I would like to get is clouds passing over Acropolis. I plan to setup my camera on hill across Acropolis during the evening for 3 hours. Grabbing a snapshot every 10 seconds out of a film is a great idea. Can Adobe Premiere do this job by running some script? Post if you have idea else I will search.. Thanks

never tried script in adobe premier but making film from adobe photoshop and imageready is very quick. save each image as layer in squence and get the same animated witoutany delays in Imageready. Infact I had posted querry regarding the same on chitrakala BB but found out answer myself by some google search.
