I talked to my collegue. This is the info I got-
Public transport is good. If you want to see Dublin only, you do not need tour, you can take a cab or bus.
You can also rent a car, you have to drive like we drive in India, other side of the road.
He found it difficult because he is an american.
If you want to visit countryside, tours are available. Waterfront is good to visit.
There are some good historic places to visit and also the crystal making industry.
He said it was not very expensive. His expense for 5 day trip was around $500 (US) for lodging,dining and sightseeing.

ok dublin madhye public transport changala ahe...u can take bus or ther is one aircoach bus which moves around all hotels in the city. you'll get this bus at airport and these buses are every 15 min. and it costs you 4£
you can hire car ..and that will cost you around 25£ to 30£ ..but now its summer time so it may cost you more.about driving in IL.. its very safe to drive in IL and you will enjoy it. just follow instruction and speed limit...no problem...
west cost of Il is very beautiful and scenic. people are real friendly...
