अमेरिकेत मिळणार Vitamin D Milk ह्यातिल Vitamin D मधे असलेले Vitamin D3 बाबत मला मिळालेलि महिति Vitamin D3 is obtained from COW or PIG or SHEEP or FISH or Fungi,Plants The commercial production of vitamin D3 is completely dependent on the availability of either 7-dehydrocholesterol or cholesterol. 7-Dehydrocholesterol can be obtained via organic solvent extraction of animal skins (cow, pig or sheep) followed by an extensive purification. D-3 can also be produced by plants and fungi, but this isn't as common as using lanolin or fish as a source. ह्या रविवारी, मला माझ्या ओळखिच्या Vegetarian लोकांशि झालेल्या चर्चेत कळाले Milk Containing Vitamin D3 is not Vegetarian Milk so from Sunday I am finding information about Vitamin D/D3 and Vitamin D Milk. Please share your Knowledge in this regard

तश्या अनेक गोष्टी असतात. असं म्हटलं तर जेवणेच मुश्किल होउन बसेल. jello veg नसते, iron tablets सुद्धा नसतात माझ्या माहिती प्रमाणे, चीझ, marshmellos ... एक न दोन जिकडे तिकडे काही तरी सापडणारच

दूध मुळातच प्राणिजन्य पदार्थ आहे ना. मग ते व्हेजीटेरिअन कसे? सर्वसाधारणपणे शाकाहारी लोकांना दूध, दही, ताक, लोणी हे प्रकार चालतात हे खरे. पण म्हणून दुधालाच शाकाहारी म्हणणे कितपत बरोबर?

Why don't you drink the milk that you just get out of cow or buffalo and sit in the sun for 1 hour in whole week? Unless you stay in 'developed world' where they have anasty habit of NOT selling what comes out of cow and label it as dairy milk !!!!!

ऊशिरा का होईना पण माझ्या उघडलेल्या Vitamin D3 Milk थ्रेड कडे मायबोलिकरांच ध्यान गेल तर; छान. दुध शाकाहारिच असत; त्यात वरुन Add केलेल Vitamin D3 हे शाकाहारि नसत त्यामुळे बरेच शाकाहारि लोक Vitamin D3 Milk वापरत नाहित. अनेक शाकाहारि साबुदाणा खात नाही. आमचे कडे साबुदाणा येत नाहि व आम्हि खात हि नाहि. अमेरिकेत शाकाहाराचा मार्ग अवलंबिलेले लोक "डेअरि प्रोड्कटस" (ज्या वर ingredients मध्ये Vitamin D3 Mention केलेल असत ते) वापरत नाहित. Vitamin D3 नसलेले Dairy Products मिळतात बाजारात. Vegetarian Vitamin Tablets व Vitamin D3 नसलेल दुधहि मिळत in USA .(in Traders Joes , Whole Foods etc) Jelly is not good for health so better to avoid it. गाय, बकरि, म्हैस हे शाकाहारि प्राणि आहेत. आपण त्यांचि हत्या करुन दुध मिळवत नाहि. तस पहिल तर झाड हि सजिव असतात (एक इंद्रिय जिव) पण फळ, भाज्या खाण मासाहार गणल जात नाहि. Generally milk labeled “Whole Milk” does Not contain Vitamin D3. Even in Goat Milk n Soy Milk there is NO Vitamin D3. Thank you.

Prasadp77, Thank you for post but I think; World is developed already. In countries like USA also we get milk Without added vitamin D3 along with vitamin D3 milk. In our country, Milkman does NOT ADD Vitamin D3 in milk. We drink milk of Cow n Buffalos as it is n we do NOT need to sit in Sun light as we do get enough Sunlight from nature. If u have Vitamin D deficiency then only u need to sit in Sunlight specially otherwise NOT.

sas, I am not too sure of the tone of your post here but I am not gonna comment on that. Just to let you know that I am currently located in Sweden and we get exactly similar type of milk products here. My wee-comment about the sun was just an alternative treatment (Sorry my pharmacist brain doesn't stop giving unsolicited advices) and it is ABSOLUTELY WRONG to understand that "You sit in sunlight if you have VitD deficiency" Lack of sunlight exposure can affect your skin structure as well.

Hi Prasad Even I m not understanding tone of ur 1st post so I got (bit) offended after reading it. nways I did not mean to hurt you or offend u. In my very 1st post only I hv mentioned "अमेरिकेत" मिळणार Vitamin D Milk; You are saying “...Unless you stay in 'developed world' where they have anasty habit of ...." But we do get milk without Added vitamin D3 in India from starting. In America, also we get milk without vitamin D3 means at least some part of world is already developed (I m saying in case of milk ) You are not getting such milk in Sweden but Sweden only is not World (I do not mean to hurt u by saying this; I m just sharing my views with you n all) What ur saying about Sunlight is 110% correct but for people who r getting enough sunlight from nature there is no need to sit (compulsorily ) in sunlight; is what I mean to say. Doctor asked my Aunty to sit in Sunlight (compulsorily )when she had "MuDdus" Thank You

असे अनेक गोस्टी आहेत की, त्यांच्या बद्दल आपल्याला फ़ार कमी माहिती आहे. बाजारात अनेक प्रकारच्या औषधी आहेत आणि त्या मुळात प्राण्यांचा वापर करुन बनविल्या जातात (ESPECIALLY VITAMINS AND HARMONES). थोड्क्यात सांगायचे म्हणंजे, GMO (genetically modified organisms/animal/plants) contains a single gene which is of foreign origin (say from, Bacteria, animals,fungi/plants etc), so its not appropriate to decide the things only on the basis of single gene, we share series of genes with other animals/plants/bacteria. In my view its completely wrong to say the so called milk as non vegetarian. There are number of genetically modified plants/plant products are in pipeline, it will be more dificult to get NON GM vegetable.(VEGETARIAN) so its better to modify the defination of Vegetarian.

शाकाहारी म्हणजे मुळ शाक पासुन अयोनीजन्य पदार्थ खाणारे,मान्साहारी म्हणजे योनीजन्य पदार्थ खाणारे,या नियमानुसार साबुदाना,दही,दूध,हे पदार्थ प्राणीजन्य असले तरी मान्साहरी नाही. व्हिट्मिन ड चा मुलस्रोत काय आहे यावरच ते शाक की मान्स हे ठरु शकेल.

वरच्या चर्चेतुन अस वाटल कि साबुदाणा हा संपुर्ण शाकाहारि पदार्थ नाहि. माझा आजवर तसा समज होत, साबुदाणा उपवासाला चालत असल्यामुळे. please मला याबाबतीत कोणि माहिति द्याल का?

Marhatmoli शाबुदाणा मांसाहारी आहे अस समजल्या नंतर शाबुदाणा खाण सोडुन देशील का? बर मग इतक्या दीवस उपवासाला जो शाबुदाणा खाल्ला त्याच काय? मला वाटत उपवास करण्यामागची भावना महत्वाची. मी लहाणपनी वेफ़र्सची quntity बघुन उपवास करायचो

आपल्या देशातील 'उपवासाला चालणारे' पदार्थ हा एक मोठा विनोद आहे. या विषयावर एखादा प्रबंध लिहिता येइल! गोड, तुपात बनविलेले पदार्थ ( जे मेदवृद्धी करतात) दिवसातून ३ वेळा मनसोक्त हादडायचे आणि म्हणायचे की 'मी उपास केला', हा केवढा विरोधाभास आहे. उपवासाचा खरा अर्थ आहे की एक वेळेस साधे, पचायला हलके अन्न व रात्री केवळ फ़लाहार घेणे. हे जेव्हा 'उपवासपंथीयांना' कळेल तो सुदिन!

साबुदाणा 'मांसाहारी' आहे म्हणजे नक्की काय? जरा विस्तार पुर्वक कोणी सांगेल काय?

बदामराजा, मी स्वत: उपास करत नाहि पण साबुदाण्याचे सगळे पदार्थ आवडतात म्हणुन खाते. But at the same time मी शाकाहारि आहे, जे पदार्थ प्राण्यांचि हत्या न करता मिळु शकतात ते प्राणिज असुनहि मला चालतात ( for eg milk, non fertile eggs, honey, etc ) म्हणुन मला साबुदाण्याचा source तपासुन बघायचा आहे, म्हणजे साबुदाणा वडे करायला मी मोकळि :D

Vitamin D3 (like proteins, other vitamins etc.) is a molecule. If properly and purely extracted, it does not matter where it came from. Two vitamin D3 molecules are exactly the same. So just consuming it will not make you nonveg-eaterian. If you are concerned that animals may have been harmed in producing it, think of the bulls used to plough fields. If you say that bulls are not KILLED, think of the small animals they trample when farming occurs. If vitamin D3 is good (necessary?) for you, you *should* consume it wheteher you claim/want to be a vegetarian or not, or you will harm (eventually kill) the one animal that matters most - you. e a t w e l l, s t a y f i t, d i e a n y w a y.
