I am just amazed with the fact that most of the world is going ga ga over this film but still I can not even pretend to like it remotely.
I will call it a funny movie.. I mean I had fun...
Here is how it works...
The very beginning a chef and owner gives out a big bhashan to all his employees in the kitchen when there is a huge rush(which is completely non-existant later in the movie.. does that mean they lost the business after this jafarani return incidence?). If I were a cook and my senior is giving all those speeches regularly during the pressure hours I am sure I will put sugar instead or salt. I would love to see a real life chef who is passionate abt his food, distrubing the cook like that. But I need to gulp this down just because the chef is played by Mr Bachchan. Then onwards I kept asking myself throughout the movie.. who is bigger story-character or the star actor?
Then comes Taboo with her dish, flaunting her hair as if it was sunsilk ad. How cheesy one can get! Wasnt she supposed to be a software engr? Was she laid off when this happened? Has anyone seen a sftwr engr being so outlandish in his/her ways? They are the most conservative lot when it comes to family values, women's issues, art etc etc...
Then comes the brat... she is a sweet little kid and a good actor... but the way director has damaged her in the film is horrible!!
I am quite disturbed with the fact that nobody seems to mind a 9 yr old's name sexy... generally should be a name of a porn star or a bar girl or a ••• worker.. Then this girl is a cancer patient.. HAS MR DIRECTOR EVER SEEN A CANCER PATIENT WHO KNOWS THAT DEATH IS NEAR? A CHILD SPECIFICALLY? I am not talking abt the makeup or physical appearance... I am talking abt the mental makeup of a kid in such a situation. Yes the kid will behave a lot older than his/her age but not as if he/she was a BHAI! These kids go through a mental see-saw of depression and happiness.. and as situation gets worst the periods of depression are longer. Generally, normally any kid of 9 is self centered. and a kid in such situation becomes self obsessed and attention seeking..
Now lets come to the main issue... a love affair between a 64 yr old man a 34 yr old woman. Nothing wrong in that but then there has to be some dignity that comes with age. This affair is not going to be a mushy mushy deal like romeo-juliet who were 17-16 and had no sense of the world and reality. Any marriage changes its face with few years... however may strong the relationship is.. then how this affair has the parameters of romeo-juliet?
Anyway... all the characters are superficially portrayed... The whole film is pretentious... It reminds you of 'Autumn in NY' and also tell you how good the original chick flick was...
The whole part with the father being gandhivadi and all is completely unnecessary to the story.. With his track the whole film changes its form. Paresh Rawal is a great actor but wasted in the whole deal.
And last but not the least... Big B crying like a fool... 'Mujhe sexy chahiye! maa!'
I could not stop laughing. I still am......

अज्जुका,
मी हा सिनेमा पाहिलेला नाही. पण एकुणच हिंदी सिनेमात मुलांची पात्रे (आणि इतरही) फारच विचीत्र रंगवतात.
ही मुले एकतर अतीशय आगावू असतात. त्यांच्या तोंडी त्यांच्या वयाला न शोभतील असे संवाद आणी issues असतात. ह्या directores ना काय मुले नसतात किंवा त्यांनी बघितलेली नसतात का काय कोण जाणे.
संवेदनशीलपणे रंगवलेली मुलांची पात्रे ही मासूम ह्या चित्रपटाचा अपवाद सोडला तर मला तरी दुसरी आठवत नाहीत (हिंदी सिनेमात).
एकुणच सध्या भारतीय मिडियात सध्या openness/modernness च्या नावावर भयंकर थैमान सुरु आहे. लहान मुलांनी काय बघावे, काय बघू नये/ काय दखवावे, काय दाखवु नये ह्याचे कोणालाही काहिही भान नाही. ह्याचे परिणाम अतिशय वाईट असतील अस कोणाला वाटतच नाही. मुले जेव्हा अजाण वयात ह्या सगळ्या गोष्टी बघतात तेव्हा त्यांच्यात बरोबर आणी चूक हे कळण्याची अक्कल नसते. तेव्हा ति मुले ह्या गोष्टी norm म्हणून स्वीकरतात. This is the reason they should not watch certain things. लहान मुलीचे नाव सेक्सी ठेवले हे कुणालाही आक्षेपार्‍ह वटले नाही हे ह्याचेच द्योतक आहे.

जेव्हा त्या मुलीचं नाव ऐकलं तेव्हा मला वाटलं की मीच काहीतरी चुकीचं ऐकलं बहुतेक.
मी आतापर्यंत पाहिलेल्या लहान मुला-मुलींच्या व्यक्तिरेखांमधली सर्वात वाईट व्यक्तिरेखा वाटली ती मला.

मालविका, सत्यजित रेंचा 'पाथेर पांचाली' हा चित्रपट संपूर्ण लहान मुलावर आधारीत आहे. Apu Triloty मधील हा चित्रपट दुसरा आहे. शेवटचा 'अपुर संसार'. रेंच्या जवळजवळ सर्वच चित्रपटांना English subtitles लाभत आहेत. त्यामुळे त्यांचे चित्रपट बघता येत आहेत.

हिंदी सिनेमा म्हणाल तर 'हम हैं राही प्यार के' आहे. त्यात पोरे जशी दाखवली होती ती मला तरी normal वाटली. म्हणजे अतीगोड किंवा अतीवाह्यात असे टोक नव्हते. 'अंजली' आठवतो का ? त्यातही मुलांचे चित्रण चांगले होते. नुकताच 'इक्बाल' येऊन गेला त्यातही त्याच्या बहिणीची व्यक्तिरेखा नैसर्गिक होती. तरी 'मासूम' सारखी संवेदनशील हाताळणी क्वचितच दिसते.

परवा सहज channels surf करताना केबलवर 'गोलमाल' नावाचा मराठी चित्रपट लागलेला तो पाहीला...
कथा काही फ़र जबरदस्त वगैरे नाही. पण मी बर्‍याच दिवसांनी एक मनोरंजक चित्रपट पाहीला असं मला जाणवलं. खरंतर मराठी सिनेमातले विनोद, त्यांना विनोद म्हणावं का अशी शंका बर्‍याच वेळेला येते. पण गोलमाल मध्ये मात्र विनोदाची मात्रा अत्यंत अचूक आणि continued आहे. थोडक्यात कथा अशी...
जितेंद्र जोशी हा कॉलेजमध्ये असताना जाम बुजरा असतो... आणि एका मुलिला आवडत असतो, तिचं खरं नाव नाही माहीत पण सिनेमात तिचं नाव पुर्वा आहे. ती त्याला नोटस घेण्याच्या बहाण्याने बोलावते. त्याला ही ती आवडत असते पण प्रपोज करण्याचं धाडस काही त्याच्यात नसतं.
काही कालावधीनंतर म्हणजे नोकरीला वगैरे लागल्यावर त्याला कळतं की पुर्वा एका coffee shop मध्ये नोकरी करतेय. मग तो तिला भेटायला जातो... आणि त्याला हे ही कळतं की त्याचाच जीवलग मित्रं पण तिच्या प्रेमात पडलाय... मग पहिल्यांदा थोडे वाद आणि मग fact accept करून ते दोघं एकत्रं येतात, तितक्यात तिसर्‍या माणसाची entry मग हे दोघे त्याच्या मागे, मग चौथ्याची म्हणजे भरत जाधव ची entry तो ही पुर्वाच्या मागे असतो... हे लोक detective ला पैसे देऊन वगैरे माहीती काढ्णे...तिला जाऊन एकमेकांबद्दल चहाड्या सांगणे... इत्यादी धमाल प्रकार करतात.
शेवट थोडा वेगळा आहे. तो पाहीला तरच मजा येईल. अर्थातच हिरॉईन जितेंद्र जोशीबरोबर लग्नं करते.
कथा फ़ार काही जोरदार नसली तरी मांडणी छान आहे. आटोपशीर पण आहे. म्हणजे आहे त्या पात्रंमध्ये चित्रपट रंजक बनवण्याचा पुरेपूर प्रयत्नं आहे. विशेष करून जितेंद्र जोशी आणि भरत जाधव ने लक्षात राहील असं काम केलंय.
सविता मालपेकर ऐवजी रसिका जोशी किंवा, निर्मिती सावंत असती तर ते character पण जोरदार आणि उठावदार झालं असतं.
बाकी गाणी काही विषेश नाहीत. पण 'एक नाही, दोन नाही, तीन नाही चार, प्रेमाच्या या रेस मधे आपून भी हैं यार' हे गाणं विषेश लक्षात राहतं.
निव्वळ मनोरंजन हवं असेल तर हा सिनेमा एकदा पाहाण्यास काहीच हरकत नाही.

Monsoon Wedding: परत बघितला आणि परत खूप आवडला .. नसीरूद्दीन शहा, जबरदस्त! तो Parvin Dabas (खोसला का घोसला मधला चिरौंजीलाल) परत एकदा खुप आवडला ..

काल ३ चित्रपट पाहिले २ मराठी & 1 पंजाबि
१. रब ने बनाईं जोडीयां (पंजाबी) : एकदम फालतु.
२. यंदा कर्तव्य आहे :
हा HTPL or Just Married वरुन काढला आहे का की यावरुन त्या दोघातला एखादा??? मध्येच चित्रपट खुपच ताणलेला व संथ वाटतो; पण मरठी चित्रपट is growing हा सुखद अनुभव मिळतो तसेच २ गाणी ही cool आहे, 'भरत जाधव' च्या अभिनया सारखी. 
३. शुभ मंगल सावधान :
रिमा, अशोक सराफ यांचा खुप खुप सुंदर अभिनय, कोठारेंच छान Direction, कथा ही चांगली. एकदा नक्की पहावा. Again मराठी चित्रपटांचा 'स्तर' उंचावतोय हा सुखद अनुभव मिळतो. (though there r some -ves of movie )

you tube वर आहेत. नाहीतर मग www.freesports4u.com वर पण आहेत हे मराठी चित्रपट. पर्वा केव्हीन स्पेसी, हेलन हंट आणी sixth sense मधला छोटा हॅले जोएल ऑसमेंट यांचा Pay it forword हा चित्रपट पाहिली. एखाद्या वर उपकार करावेत आणी त्याला सांगावं की dont pay it back. pay it forword to three people. आणी ही एक जगव्यापी चळवळ उभारावी. ही कल्पना सोशल स्टडीज चा प्रोजेक्ट म्हणून हॅले मांडतो. आणी खरंच चळवळ सर्वदूर फोफावते. फार सुंदर आहे. एक हेलावून टाकणारा चित्रपट. जरूर पहा.
