Peter Lynch चे एक पुस्तक आहे. Beating the Street. जर वाचले नसेल तर जरुर वाचा. त्यात एक chapter आहे. The Miracle of St. Agnes .

My some thoughts on exiting stock market condtion .....
Almost all the markets in the world are at the peak. Interest rates are going up in USA & all around the world. Further all the commodities like gold, silver, oil prices are going up

As per as India is concerned, government has to increase the oil prices, petrol & cooking gas prices to cut the losses of oil companies. Indian government also has to increase the interest rates soon to curb the inflection.

It will create effects to stocks in many ways. Loan will be costlier to industries & company profits will come down. Bonds, fixed deposits will look more attractive than stock. Consumer spending will come down with higher spending on interest, oil, gas etc. ( less vehicles will be sold, house market will ease & so on.).

One should take out money & park it to fix deposits/bonds once the interest rate goes to peak. Bring same money back in stock market once the interest rates are too low.
Only question is what is the peak interest rate? This is million dollar question.

I am long term investor & my views are for long terms only. For short terms whole equations are totally different.

Sahil,
You are right regarding effect of interest on economy. Since Stock market is going up,up and up, Govt. has to do something about it, in these situations they raise the interest rates.

I would say take out the money where the equation of P = M X E is not good.
what i mean is if Price of that stock can't justify the earnings ( actual or estimated) of that company with the multipale, take out those now and put in FMCG companies ( as these companies have no effect of interest rates, for example your tooth paste, your suger, your Refrigarator etc). So if you want you can park your money in these if stock market starts sliding.

For long term too you can play with few shares like SAIL where p/e is just 6 and Steel is in demand.
Unlike 90s the pick interest will not go to 15-16. I would say Govt may increase another .5 in coming 3-4 months and then it will stablise.
MF NFOs are generating huge money, so there has to be a bull market for while untill MF inflows (indian money) slows down.

satish,
I mis understood that.
Even I am hunting for that company.

There are 2 companies worth investing for next year. Ashok Layland and KPIT.

KPIT, this company is doing really well. ( Rs 270 astana, I felt like putting money but i just didn't put there and today its almost twice). It still has lower P/e then and great earning potential so by next year result it might touch 650+ so its best bet to invest some money to get Rs 200 benefit per share in a year.

I bought Ashok layland when it was 27 and all the analysts were saying Dont buy or Sale, i still bought it and sitting on Rs 50 per share. (100% profit).

I am doing some exercise finding Cheap stocks( not money wise but earning and p/e wise) I will update this page once I find atleast 3-4.

Yes maitreyee,
Deshat sarve goshti rumours var chaaltat. Shivays FII ni paise kaadhun ghetle. Merril Lynch ne 4 divasanpurvi Indian market is overvalued ase sangitale. ( tya veles already 400 points ne market padle pan lagech dusrya divshi bounce zale). FII ter FED chya interest rate la responce det ahet. (yield curve ki kia asete te).

Metel stock kosaLyala China ne haatbhar lavala.

But all the sensex companies have done good. So I feel it has to bounce back little. Baghu ata kai hote te.

Thanks Kedar for Reply to “ NEXT INFY ?”
Here some of my opinion
1. One should Identify “FUTURE GROWTH “ -----Company VERY early better to say before All market Know About that story.
2. One should Have GREAT PATIENCE.
See for this example of INFOSYS only---
Date -----------> Price
June-1993------> 2.45
Aug-2000-------> 2093
April-2006-------> 3133

Satish,
you are right. For Infy, the IPO was not even fully sbuscribed and underwriters had to take care of it. But agian that was 1993 and nobody was knowing what is IT. today a faltu IT companies IPO gets oversubscribed.

Market parat padle. There are lot of shares we can buy today. I think that now it will not go much UP or down, it will try to stablise. Lets hope it does not go any lower.
