The ongoing fiasco series of Rakhi Sawant, Shilpa has once again raised issues about the screen image of a celebrity influencing people’s perspectives.
Talking about Rakhi I’m not surprised this happened to her. The way you project yourself in front of people definitely says a lot about you. She has always been very hyperactive and aggressive with her image. I agree that if the man has misbehaved, he should be punished and beaten up. But here, no one is sure of who is at fault. A situation like this would never arise in front of a much more sophisticated woman. In Rakhi’s case, she was definitely asking for trouble.There really is no difference between illusion and reality.
But on the other hand Rakhi has guts to say and do things which are beyond
normal persons behaviorial pattern.
In India, media is a very powerful medium, especially the Satellite Television Channels. It is one of the most important factors that play a significant role in shaping public opinions, beliefs and conveying correct information and knowledge with a huge responsibility on its shoulders. It has far reaching affects on societies, businesses, and governments.

I am all for starting a fan club for Rakhi Sawant. I will bear the expense of website if someone volunteer for developing the site. We can get her personal interviews etc. She won't mind I think.

But if Aaishapath thinks Shilpa should be the winner then ... Shilpa it is as he has the first preference

I admire Rakhi's guts.Rakhi's story seems to me like One woman fending for her ambitious family.She definitely doesn't need anybody's pity. She's got her priorities and fundas in life sorted out quite well.Rakhi also seems frank and clear in what she wants to do in the industry, I wish her all the best in her career.She is here to do item numbers and make money .. not be some great actress. She admits this which is refreshingly different from all our Miss India Worlds and Universes who want to be Mother Teresa one minute and are seen in a bikini and a violin after 2 years. Nothing wrong with that...but still. The bit about her father not liking what she does is ..well..don't know what to say. What is it with some men..they look at women till their eyes pop out and protest when a woman of the house is looked at?
All can say is Wish Her Best Of Luck..

Whatever the topic is wheher Shilpa shetty,or Rakhi sawant,now the focus has shifted from shilpa to rakhi it seems.
American desi,u can support rakhi for whatever happened in the entire episode of rakhi-mika contraversy just because u r a die-heart fan of rakhi sawant it seems,but I don't think so,I don't think she was completely innocent in that whole episode,why mika has chosen only rakhi to abuse & nobody else in the party?
If u wear some objectionable,seductive cloths all the time,people are definately going to look at you in some other way,if you are trying to seduce men by wearing such provoking cloths,then nobody here is sant mahatma who will ignore it&call u deviji or behenji
Many actresses wear such seductive cloths in front of the camera because afterall it's their buisiness&they are being paid for it,but in social or public meeting,they are in proper complete cloths.
A woman in a sari can look as beautiful& sensuas as in any other dress,isn't it?
Then why rakhi needs to wear such cloths for public events & social meets as well?In such case I don't think she has any right to say that people look at me &trying to molest me,I think it was a sheer publicity stunt nothing more than that.

Dhinchyak - I agree with you. Nobdy is saint.
Shilpa / Rakhi etc : They are just exploiting the situations like a professional businesswomen. Rakhi and Mika are close friends. They want to take the media and common mind for a ride so that both will benefit.
These people are very very smart in getting publicity. I bet both must be sitting together and laughing at how they fooled the public and made money. They are my heros in this Kaliyug.
