I think ..this is 1st time in history of Soccer..
when almost same team has entered the WC final after gap of 8 years..
this itself is an achievement...!!

कालची match चांगली झाली. after 70-75th min french players ran out of gas (same thing happened against brazil). portugal made some really good moves, but barthez and company defended well. ronaldo चा एक shot barthez ने volleyball खेलतो तसा उडवला, figo cudn't take adv. of that (thank god)
portugal shd win their saturday's match against germany. they r definitely better than germany.

मी फ़्रान्स ला support करत होते खरं तर! I could not believe what Zidane did at the final moment, which was such a crucial moment for the match, the cup, and his own career!!

what a sorry and bizarre end to Zidane's career! World Cup Final chi maja ch nighun geli.. i was rooting for France for a last few matches.. mhaNaje yadnya vagaire kela nahi, paN te jinkave ase waTat hote.. Zidane sathi.. it was such an anti-climax!

Good to know that lot of us were supporting for France / Zidane.
I cant imagine what Materazzi said to Zidane which resulted in that incident. But whatever happend is really BAD

I came to know what Matarazzi said to Zidane during that
moment of madness.
Ofcourse, its a speculation only... but a lot of
newspapers with their podcasts are indicating in same direction.
Whatever he has said is an absolute obscene behaviour..
but there is no way you can support Zidane's action in WC final.
Just to let you know, Matarazzi has HISTORY behind him, of physical violence in past from his Juventus days.
1 more info, Zidane & Matarazzi had quiet a differences between them when Zidane used to play for Juves in late 90s

इटलीच्याच कोच ने झिदान ला 'तयार' केले आहे, त्याला नक्कीच झिदानबद्दल बारीक माहीती असणार.. त्याने तर गेम केला नाही ना? अर्थात काहीही झाले तरी झिदानचे वर्तन पूर्णतः असमर्थनीय ठरते..
त्याला best player award मिळाले हे छान झाले पण!

The game shouldn't have gone into over-time in the first place. I thought Italy had clearly scored a valid goal thru' Luca Toni's header in the 62nd, the one that was 'deemed' off-side by the referee.

नंद्या, i totally disagree with you. the decision was correct. तो ( toni ) व्यवस्थित off-side होता. italy ने celebration का सुरु केल हे कळल नाही. जर तो goal दिला असता तरच चिड आली असती.
first half मधे toni चा header जेव्हा goal-post ला लागला ते वाईट झाल किंवा pirlo ची free-kick , हे चांगले chances होते. पण second half मधे आणि extra-time मधे france played better than italy. italians were so tired. ribery चा shot just miss झाला आणि zidane चा header श्या!!

zidane चुकीचा वागला (अगदी materazzi काही घाण बोलला असुन देत, त्याने त्याचा class सोडायला नको होता), but he is still the best
