I am sure many of you have made some investments taking your children into your consideration, may be for their university studies or for any other reasons. I would like to know from those who live within India and outside India, what are such investment options? If you chose certain option, what positive and negative points you looked on? Thank you in advance.

All these links offered in last 3 posts are US links. I was wondering if non-US resident can invest in that. Also, what happens if you stay in the US for 5 years and then go back to India? Any idea. Has anyone testing/tested options in India? College costs in India are spiralling too.
