I have been using Google bar to block popups for some time now and it works really well.
If you like trying other browsers, try mozilla and firefox from mozilla. http://www.mozilla.org These two come with an in-built popup blocker. These browsers are pretty good.

Naatya, IMHO, one should be running Adaware, Spybot, Pestpatrol and Spysweeper in order. First 2 are great in finding general spywares while last work good with key-loggers.

I am working on a content collection-processing-web publishing-distribution project for a voluntary organization.
We have built and used the overall system for quite some time. Now we want to incorporate indian language support in this system. For time being we are using an editor provided by shri Lipi and also using one of the dynamic fonts to publish it on the web. However it does not serve the broader purpose. Can somebody help me take appropriate decisoins about the technology to be used ?
Following is the proposed document flow in the system.
1> The person writing the content can be lcoated anywhere. So he will write his content using a software that is widely available (preferably free) and then send it by mail to main center.
2) The main center would edit the content and upload it on website in appropriate language section i.e. there would be a section for each language.
3) The articles would also be sent to various other users of content, in a font of that user's choice ( for which font converter would be requried) and also in a font that can enable reading/printing without buying any particular software.
Please let me know your suggestions. I would like to talk with anybody who can guide further. So please send a mail with your tel numnber if you know in depth about pros and cons and can spare some time to talk with me.

One thing which comes to my mind is a web service. We had implemented a spellchecker web service using some third party tools for our different clients.
I've used Iwrite just few days ago. The concept is kinda neat. Iwrite allows the user write in English and depending upon language+font he wants the output is appropriately generated.
Coming back to your project...
1)All the users will have a web form where they can enter the data and select the language/font. (The users can write the data offline in notepad, wordpad or any text editing s/w)
2) The data comes back to your main server which has all the maps for diff language and fonts. The language converter engine will take this as input and spit out the relevant result (in a language+font selected by the user) back to the user to confirm that's what he intended to write.
The user can edit and resubmit till he gets the desired output.
3)Once finalized this data can be shown in appropriate language forum and can be sent to other users.
LT:
Since everything is browser based, your website will have the relevants fonts to be installed on client's machine, so as to view a particular language.
Does that makes sense?
We can discuss it further. The maayboli Admin (Ajay), Kiran and many others are real pro out here . They will add more valuable comments. I am just a newbie :-)

btw, The users need to have a proper software for entering / viewing and editing content in indian languages. transliteration is not required. Direct entry using keylayouts is fine.

Yogi : Thanks for suggesting that trial version link. I tried it, but products can not be downloaded. After registering on that msdn site, they provide access to their server and we can take hands on exp. on that server. But we can not copy trial project on our PC.
This link was helpful for practice session, but I wanted info about actual product Visual Studio .NET.
We are having Visual Studio 6.0, and want to upgrade the version to .NET
Only thing is I am searching whether it is available [free] on internet or not ?

i cleared history, deleted temporary files, used cleanmgr command and removed the files by cheking all its options,
i made my home page "about:blank"
but if the typed url is wrong the automatically : http://magicsearch.ws this url is opened and from that time my home page also becomes http://magicsearch.ws automatically.
when the http://magicsearch.ws opens there is instruction at bottom about how to uninstall it (ie thru control panel) and there is no such program listed in ctrl panel's add/remove program's list.
how to get rid of it?
or reinstalling the explorer is the only option?
(n More interesting thing i would like to know is how this is acheived ie making particular url the default one and also home page progamatically?)

Just to be politically correct, Spybot will not remove "ALL" spywares from your PC. You need to use combination of all 3 "Ad-aware" by Lavasoft, "Spybot" and "Spycheck". Chances are high that you still might be left with few.
Also, try grabbing copy of "myuninstaller" from web. It is much more through with uninstall optiosn that standard windows one.
All the best for battleground of PC spyware...
