Now I am going to get some fire but be it.
I don't understand why someone would tend to post picture of some flowers or some lion-face?? What is so special about these pictures? Flowers are beautiful, I have no comment about that, but is something special about this/these picture?
Honestly, I didn't see these pictures worth posting here except the face close-up by Grace. I found something different about this picture, the title is pretty good. I just feel that the phone receiver spoils the picture, I would recommend to photoshop it to remove the receiver. I don't know what was there in the background but by capturing some tiny details of the background, you could have offered depth in the picture.
About Lopamidraa's latest picture, I would crop the sky and the trees, its not adding anything to the picture as such, so just crop it off.
P.S. - I am not an expert in photography but have been reading few books recently on this topic and so posting thoughts on what I learnt there. No intentions of personal attack. If someone can't hold back their feeling of posting flowers, post them on flickr and provide a link rather than hogging Maayboli's space.

जास्वंद स्विसचे अन आसपासचे कुठलेही टाक रे. तिथे येणे या जन्मी तरी शक्य नाही, पण तुझ्या फोटोमुळे बरेच काही इथेच अनुभवल्याचा भास होतो.
आता तुझे आई बाबा येतील तेव्हा मात्र युंगफ्रॉची ट्रीप करायला विसरु नकोस. अन हो रेल्वेचाच प्रवास निवड विमानापेक्षा, जर वेळ असेल तर. तसा युरोपचा पास मिळतोच की. आता निसर्गाची खरी उधळण असेल तिथे. फार भरभरुन सौंदर्य देतो तो यावेळेस युरोपात.

प्रसाद धन्यवाद. फारच अप्रतीम सौंदर्य आहे स्विसचे. तशी आपली देवभूमी हिमाचल पण काही कमी नाही, विशेषता स्विसमधले ती तळी पाहिली की मला कैलास मानस सरोवराची आठवण झाली. मी नाही गेले तिथे, पण तिथले फोटो पाहिलेत ना मासिकांमध्ये.
उत्तर पाकिस्तानात हिंदुकुश पर्वताच्या कुशीत एक ठिकाण आहे, ते तर अगदी दुसरे काश्मीर आहे. काहीतरी ख वरुन नाव सुरु होते त्याचे अन शेवटी बाद होवुन संपते. तिथली लोकवस्ती हिंदु अन मुस्लीम चालीरितींचा संगम आहे. हिंदुंचे बहुतेक सण साजरे करतात ते लोक. मेंढ्या पालन हा त्यांचा व्यवसाय.

Looks like i am the only other person who wants constructive critisism on this BB. Others probably just want to share their "snapshots"
I was about to comment on Grace's portrait, but then though, why bother, as the comment will anyway get washed out in a flurry of more "snapshots".
I think the learning experience in photography is getting lost here. Let's try to revive it.

okay, my comments for Grace's photo.
First the good points - The expression is captured well, the composition is nice and lighting is nice.
The telephone receiver is distracting. the background texture takes away a lot from the picture in my opinion. Either the background should be blurred out entirely, or more substance/detail should be visible in the background.

Man, you are lucky. I recently scanned my LF slides at 2000ppi with our new drum scanner and each one resulted in about 400MB/16bit file. Fortunately I have only shot 27 frames in last 3 years and may be 12-15 are worth scanning (technically and aesthetically good).

I had similar thoughts few months back. Then I realized, this is a 'Mi Kadhlele Photo' forum and not a critique forum. If anyone wants it then s/he will ask for it. Otherwise the main purpose is similar to showing album to the guests. A good guest never critiques. The good part is, unlike the menacing host (who you want to avoid) you can always goto other BBs over here. There is a wealth of talent at Maayboli, read ppls post in Durgabhraman or Rangiberangi.
So let them enjoy and us too. What say? What I won't tolerate is the cheating and plagiarism like it happened a year and half back.
For the picture- one basic problem. He is looking at you. And from the angle it seems you are standing/sitting at a higher level. This creates negative tension, and is not desired. I might also remove that shirt or white cloth.
I hope you can see this post and is not lost somewhere in the archieves. ;)

Truly appreciate your view of constructive criticism on this thread. But, it should be correctly directed. It should encourage
the person to more value to the photograph when he/she clicks next time.
It should not be the case that, because you don't understand some of the snaps, they are not worth posting over here. You can always ask the Clicker, reason & beauty behind it.
Also, request you to refrain from commenting on the snaps unless Clicker expects something from viewers
As far as myself is concerned,
I would request you to do your analysis (+/- points) on my snaps & do post it over here.
I will assure you that, I will try to reply on those as far as possible.

I don't know, with what presumption you have asked for more " Creative photography " over here. I mean, how can you define that. I'm sorry, but I do not agree that there is no creativity in flowers, landscapes & such types.
Obviously, I know, I'm not the 1st one to visit these places, but that doesn't mean, it has no
" Creativity Value " to it.
As far as , your album is concerned,
You are actually blessed as you have great collection of snaps. And would definitely like to see those.
Hoping that, both of you will take it in rightest of the right spirit & start posting your comments for me
here is something, that really " CLICKS " to me..
A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know.
