In US u need to have following things
1. INS form I-134 (Affidavit of support)
Check for the corresponding form in UK INS
2. photocopy of your passport and work permit.
3. Bank statement
4. Letter from your employer
5. Letter from your manager (optional)
6. Invitation Letter.
Documents mentioned in 2 and 3 must be attested by notified officer. (Notary)

On Cautious Note : it is somewhat difficult to get visa for Brother/Sister, Consulate officers may reject the application. I am not saying that visa wil be rejected ( i know a case where Mother and sister were granted visa ).

As of my knowledge....sandhyaa kaali after 4pm only we get back our stamped passports....!!!

As of my experience which is pretty recent (March) sadhyakali ek khep ghalavich lagte, passport collect karayala. Samrya tuzi case exceptional hoti. Month Endchya aadalya divshi te kahditari protocol badloon lagech passports detat, not always though.

Will it be okay if I send the passport copy and my visa papers indicating my visa has been extended here.

Asawari : Send passport photocopy ( all pages including blank ) and send photocopy of approval notice. ajun kahi specific questions astil tar ikade lihi kinva mail kar. maze in-laws don aathvadyapurviach ikade aale.

Ani ek chote complication aahe te mhanje I changed my name on my passport so I have new passport with new name and approval notice is with my maiden name. pan if my inlaws can show the marriage certificate so should not be the problem.
