Asawari: My passport has indian address so I guess in ur case its a mistake which you need to rectify or verify with your Indian Consulate. (This is with regards to Indian Passport)

hoy na thats too funny kee bharteey nagrikacha passport war amercian address  ani mee applications madhye sepcifically bharatacha address dila hota when I applied here in US pan taree tya ithla address ghatala, kaay mhanaave. Anyway ani pan ekachya babteet asech kele hote.
Tu jar ithun passport issue karun ghetla asasheel tar lucky aahes kee tyanee tuza original address thevla.
Yes I am planning to do that as first thing before I show this passport at US consulate in India.

Thanks yogi. Pan mee tee link baghitlee pan tyaa he dile nahiye kee kitee vel lagel te. mumbai chya passport office madhye he kaam eka diwsaat hote pan punyache maheet nahee mhanun vicharle. kee general exp kasa aahe service kitee fast aahe etc.

ek nava BB ughadanya aivaji ithe post karatoy:
does anyone know if the Indian consulate in US renders a service to change the "birth place" mentioned on the passport? Does requesting such a service has any adverse effect on visa valiidity or anything like that?
thanks.
(I have already checked the Indian Consulate site, but in services it states change of name/address/birth date etc. and not chage of birth place)
