i remember a discussion earlier on a different BB (i suspect that was not archived anywhere) - about diets. one of the issues discussed there was: with a purely vegetarian diet (no eggs) either, how does one come up with a daily requirement of nearly 50g of proteins - trust me its nontrivial. perhaps, it wont hurt to revisit it here

Yes, I remember discussing that with you and Mukund. You are right, and for that matter, it is difficult even to reach 2000 calories mark per day. Try including these high protein foods in your diet: 2 cups nonfat milk (~16 gms) 1 cup nonfat yogurt (~12 gms) lowfat peanut butter oatmeal tofu (and any other soy products) beans/legumes/lentils MRPs (meal replacement powders are quick and easy way but please check if vegetarian; Soy protein powders are also available which are purely vegetarian.) Although it becomes difficult to get the "essential and complete" proteins as they call them, from the vegetarian food, it is not impossible if you had the right mix. ip`yaaÊ tulaa jamaola tXaI maola Takona.
