कराडकर हा घे अंडे विरहीत केक. दिनेश तर देतीलच. दिनेश जोपर्यंत तुम्ही पेस्ट्री लिहीत नाही तोपर्यंत मी तुमचा पीछा सोडणार नाही. साहित्य : अडिच कप मैदा, २ टीस्पुन बेकींग पावडर, अर्धा टीस्पुन खायचा सोडा, १ कप लोणी, पाऊण कप कोमट पाणी, ३ चमचे साखर, व एक कप मिल्कमेड,केक फ्रुटस, बटर पेपर. कृती : मैदा, बे.पावडर अन सोडा घालुन ३ वेळा चाळुन घ्यावा. मिलकमेड मिक्सरमध्ये फिरवुन घ्यावे, त्यातच लोणी घालुन ते पण फिरवुन घ्यावे. ते मिश्रण एका पसरट पातेल्यात ओतावे अन मिक्सरमध्ये कोमट पाणी घालुन फिरवुन या लोण्यात मिसळावे. साखर अन थोडा थोडा मैदा घलुन ढवळावे. मिश्रण एकाच दिशेने ढवळावे. केक फ्रुटस चमचाभर कोरड्या मैद्यात घोळवुन या मिश्रणात मिक्स करावे. केक पात्रात बटर पेपर नीट बसवुन मिश्रण ओतावे. ओव्हन आधीच गरम करावा. मग केक पात्र ओव्हनमध्ये ठेवुन अर्धा तास भाजावे. केकमध्ये सुरी खुपसुन बघावी, मिश्रण चिकटले नसेल तर केक झाला समजुन उतरावे. केक गार झाला की थोडा वेळ फ्रीझमध्ये ठेवावा म्हणजे छान तुकडे कापता येतात.

Eggless Milkless Cake 1 1/2 cups brown or white sugar 1/2 teaspoon cloves, allspice or mace 2 cups hot water 1/2 pkg raisins 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon cinnamon 2 tablespoons shortening (butter or Crisco) Combine the above ingredients and boil for 5 minutes. Let mixture cool, then add: 3 cups sifted flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda Preheat oven to 350°F. Turn batter out into a 9" tube or Bundt pan or an 8" square cake pan that has been greased and floured. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour. Allow to cool before frosting with white, lemon or vanilla frosting or use White Frosting; see below. White Frosting: 1/2 stick butter 3 cups confectioners sugar 3 tablespoons water or milk 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla or lemon flavoring Heat butter in milk or water, add to sugar and flavoring. Beat until smooth. Frost top and sides of cake.

EGGLESS, MILKLESS PUMPKIN CAKE 3 c. flour 2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 2 tsp. baking powder 2 tsp. soda 2 c. pumpkin (canned) 1 c. oil 1 c. chocolate chips 3/4 c. chopped nuts Mix all dry ingredients together. Add oil and pumpkin. Mix well. Add chocolate chips and nuts. Pour into greased and floured 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch loaf pans or one large Bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

EGGLESS CAKE 1 c. sour milk 1 c. sugar 2 c. flour 1/2 c. shortening 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. allspice 1 tsp. nutmeg Cream sugar and shortening. Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking soda, baking powder, salt and spices. Add alternately with milk to first mixture. Beat thoroughly. Pour into well oiled loaf pan. Bake at 375 degrees for about 45 to 50 minutes. Eggless cakes can be chocolate, full of raisins or spicy.

EGGLESS, BUTTERLESS, MILKLESS CAKE 1 c. hot water 1 c. sugar 1 c. raisins 1 c. dates, chopped 1/3 c. shortening 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 1/2 c. hot water Nuts 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. nutmeg Simmer water, sugar, raisins, dates, shortening and salt for 3 minutes. When cool, add flour, baking powder and soda mixture, nuts and spices. Pour into greased 9" square pan and bake approximately 40 minutes at 350 degrees.

EGGLESS RAISIN CAKE 1 c. raisins, boiled in 2 c. water 1/2 c. butter 1 3/4 c. flour 1 tsp. soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. nutmeg In a large saucepan boil the raisins in the water. Add butter and let cool. In the same saucepan, add remaining ingredients and mix together. Bake in a 10 x 10 inch pan at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. You can add nuts.

BOILED CAKE OR EGGLESS, MILKLESS, BUTTERLESS CAKE 2 c. brown sugar 2 c. hot water 4 tbsp. shortening 1 pkg. seedless raisins 2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. cinnamon 2 tsp. cloves Combine all of the above ingredients and boil for 5 minutes. Let cool then add 2 teaspoons of baking soda which has been dissolved in 1 tablespoon lukewarm water. Then add 3 cups flour; mix well. Pour into 2 greased pans (about the size of bread loaf pans). Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/4 hours.

3 More Mum′s Pumpkin Fruit Cake ! cup mashed pumpkin 1/2 cup sugar 1 tablespoon syrup 1 packet mixed dried fruit some chopped dates and/or nuts 2 cups S.R. flour 1 teaspoon mixed spice 1 teaspoon vanilla essence Mix ingredients well.If mix is a little dry add more mashed pumpkin. Bake at 150 degrees C for approx 2 hours. Health Cake 1/4 cup sugar 1 cup S.R. flour 1 cup mashed banana 1 cup shredded coconut 1 cup diced apricots (dried0 1 cup soy or rice milk mix, cook at 180 degrees C for approx 1 hour Linda′s Muesli Slice 1 cup oats 1 cup sultanas 1/2 cup S.R. flour 1/2 cup raw sugar 1/2 cup coconut 5 ozs margarine (or a little less if needed) 1 tablespoon syrup Mix and press into tin. Bake at 180-200 degrees C for 15-20 minutes until brown. Cut while hot.
